NORTHAMPTON
Line Cook Schedule:
Day shifts, typically 6:00 AM or 8:00 AM through close (around 3:30 PM) Jake?s is a busy breakfast and lunch restaurant looking for an experienced, dependable Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We?re looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen, takes pride in putting out consistent food, and works well as part of a team. Because we are a breakfast and lunch restaurant, this position offers daytime hours with no dinner or late-night shifts.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items accurately and efficiently Work assigned stations during busy breakfast and lunch service Follow recipes, portioning, plating, and quality standards Complete daily prep and keep stations stocked for service Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Follow proper food handling, storage, and food safety procedures Communicate and work effectively with other cooks, dishwashers, and front-of-house staff Assist with opening, closing, cleaning, and general kitchen duties Help keep service moving during high-volume periods
Qualifications:
Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred Ability to cook efficiently in a fast-paced environment is required Comfortable using knives, kitchen equipment, and commercial cooking equipment Knowledge of basic kitchen sanitation and food safety practices Dependable and punctual Strong communication and teamwork skills Able to stay organized and maintain a positive attitude under pressure Able to stand for extended periods and handle the physical demands of a busy kitchen What We?re
