In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality dishes that delight our elderly residents and uphold our company standards. Your energy, culinary skills, and attention to detail will contribute to creating an exceptional dining experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation, kitchen operations, and delivering excellent food service in an assisted living community. Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols at all times Handle food with care, ensuring proper food handling techniques are followed to prevent contamination Support food preparation activities including chopping, marinating, and assembling dishes Collaborate with team members during service to ensure timely delivery of orders Follow all health and safety regulations related to kitchen operations and food handling Skills Proven experience in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering kitchens Strong culinary skills with proficiency in cooking techniques and knife skills Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is a plus Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety standards Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent food handling practices with attention to cleanliness and hygiene Familiarity with food service operations, including serving and food presentation techniques Join us as a Line Cook and bring your passion for culinary excellence to life!
