The ideal candidate will have experience in meal preparation and food service, with a strong focus on quality and presentation. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in our kitchen, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Assist in the meal preparation process for various dietary needs within the dietary department. Ensure proper food handling and sanitation practices are followed at all times. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other cooking tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including workstations, utensils, and equipment. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies. Participate in training new kitchen staff as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred. Strong skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food handling safety. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in meal presentation. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
