Prior experience in high-volume food preparation, commercial kitchens, or assisted living is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities Menu Preparation:
Cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to pre-planned menus, which frequently include specific therapeutic diets (e.g., low-sodium, diabetic, pureed)
Safety & Sanitation:
Maintain regulatory compliance by logging food temperatures, adhering to safe food-handling protocols and ensuring the kitchen is thoroughly sanitized
Inventory & Ordering:
Assist the Dietary Supervisor in ordering ingredients, receiving deliveries, and rotating stock properly to prevent waste
Resident Focus:
Learn and accommodate individual resident preferences and dietary restrictions to maximize their quality of life
