In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving fresh, delicious deli items while providing outstanding customer care. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment where customers feel valued and satisfied. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills, master POS systems, and thrive in a fast-paced food industry setting. Duties Prepare a variety of deli foods, including slicing meats, cheeses, and assembling sandwiches with precision and care Provide friendly, attentive customer service by assisting with product selections, answering questions, and upselling items to enhance sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food prep areas, ensuring food safety compliance at all times Restock shelves, organize displays, and manage inventory to keep the deli area inviting and well-stocked Support food handling procedures such as proper sanitation and adhering to health regulations Requirements Previous experience in food service, retail grocery store, café, or quick service restaurant is highly preferred Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety standards is preferred Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell products confidently Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations Kitchen or culinary experience is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key If you thrive in lively environments and love creating positive customer experiences, we want to hear from you!
