Responsibilities Prepare a variety of catering menu items with precision, adhering strictly to recipes and presentation standards. Cook fresh, flavorful dishes for farmers markets, utilizing techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food production methods. Operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, grills, ovens, and food processing tools. Maintain rigorous food safety sanitizing procedures and ensure compliance with all food handling regulations. Assist in menu planning by contributing creative ideas that highlight seasonal ingredients and meet dietary needs. Support high-volume food preparation while maintaining quality control and consistency across all dishes. Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal assembly, packaging, and timely delivery for events or market days. Qualifications Proven experience in food service roles such as dietary aide, restaurant cook, or catering chef; experience in fine dining or high-volume production is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean kitchen environment. Skilled in various cooking techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and food handling best practices. Excellent knife skills with the ability to prepare ingredients efficiently and accurately. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation tailored to dietary restrictions or special requests. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively in a fast-paced setting. $19.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 per week
