About us Lava Shark is a small Maryland food company making fruit leather rolls — real fruit, no added sugar. We're doing a one-month production run out of a shared commercial kitchen in Gaithersburg and need one reliable helper for the duration. The work — food production, not restaurant line cooking: Washing and prepping fresh fruits and veggies Running purée, spreading trays evenly Loading/unloading dehydrators, rotating racks Cutting, rolling and packaging finished product Labeling, boxing, basic inventory counts Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and station at the end of every shift Schedule Temporary, about 1 month 4-8 hours per day, 5 days per week — schedule set together a week at a time Occasional early start or late finish on big batch days Schedule can be flexible. Looking for Prior kitchen, food prep, bakery or food production experience. On your feet a full shift, able to lift ~30 lbs. Genuinely careful about cleanliness and food safety — this is packaged food going to customers. Shows up on time, every scheduled day. That matters more here than anything else. Certified Food Services Manager card a plus — we'll help you get one if you don't have it.
