Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety standards in production and handling Assist with meal preparation, including slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Follow food safety management procedures to ensure proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely service Support menu planning efforts by providing feedback on recipes and ingredient needs when necessary Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant or catering environment is highly preferred Demonstrated culinary experience with proficiency in cooking techniques and food preparation methods Familiarity with dietary department standards and dietary aide procedures is a plus Knowledge of safety standards related to food handling, cleaning, and kitchen operations Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with kitchen staff and team members Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene Background in the food industry with an emphasis on recipe adherence, meal preparation, and food safety management Join us as a vital part of our culinary team where your skills will be valued, your growth supported, and your passion for food celebrated!
