Line Cook AM/PM The Line Cook at Manor Country Club plays a pivotal role in preparing and cooking exquisite meals for our members and guests. You will be responsible for executing recipes to the highest standards, ensuring consistent quality and presentation while maintaining an efficient and well-organized kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary arts, a commitment to quality, and a positive attitude.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Cooking:
Prepare and cook all menu items as per recipes and standardized procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
Station Management:
Oversee and manage assigned cooking stations, maintaining proper mise en place, cleanliness, and organization.
Ingredient Management:
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and rotated to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
Quality Control:
Taste dishes before serving to ensure they meet quality standards. Adjust seasoning and presentation as needed.
Collaboration & Communication:
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations. Communicate effectively with the sous chefs and executive chef to maintain kitchen workflow.
Safety & Cleanliness:
Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including handling food products and kitchen equipment properly.
Time Management:
Cook multiple orders simultaneously while maintaining high standards for quality and timeliness in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability:
Be flexible and willing to adjust to menu changes, special requests, or alterations in preparation techniques based on customer needs.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of proven experience as a Line Cook in a country club or restaurant setting preferred Strong knowledge of cooking methods, techniques, and kitchen equipment. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Strong attention to detail with an emphasis on quality and consistency. Good communication and team collaboration skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. A passion for food and a strong desire to grow within the culinary industry. Food Handler Certification or equivalent is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot, noisy, and fast-paced environment. Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds, as required.
