Job Description

Location:
Freeport, Maine Compensation:
$22.00 - $23.00 per hour (based on experience)
Job Type:
Part-time. Buck's Naked BBQ is a high-volume, authentic smokehouse and BBQ joint. We smoke our meats low and slow daily, serve scratch-made sides, and pride ourselves on a fast-paced, high-energy team environment. We are looking for a reliable, skilled Line Cook to manage hot-side stations, salad/plate set stations, assemble classic BBQ platters, and maintain our strict quality and food safety standards during peak service hours.
Responsibilities Include:
This position may grow to full time.
Station Execution:
Set up, stock, and operate the meat-cutting, flat-top, salad/plate set, or fryer stations efficiently during service.
BBQ Focus:
Properly slice, portion, and plate smoked briskets, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken to exact restaurant specifications.
Sanitation & Safety:
Maintain a clean work area, manage safe food temperatures, and complete opening/closing cleaning checklists.
Teamwork:
Communicate clearly with pitmasters, expo, and front-of-house staff to ensure orders go out hot and fast.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum 1-2 years of professional line cook or commercial kitchen experience (BBQ/smokehouse background a major plus).
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for 8-12 hour shifts and lift up to 50 lbs (moving meats, heavy pans, and supplies).
Reliability:
Available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Certification:
