F/T Pay up to $27/hr based on experience & season completion bonusThe highly regarded BLUE restaurant at Grey Havens Inn is seeking a line cook to join us for the remainder of the 2026 season, June - October. This is an excellent opportunity to work in the fine dining space, in a beautiful kitchen and location, with a dedicated crew. This is an unexpected opening so it's a great time to join us.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and reliable Evening Line Cook to join our culinary team. This role is responsible for preparing high quality dishes during dinner service, maintaining a clean and organized station, and supporting smooth kitchen operations. The ideal candidate works efficiently, communicates well, and takes pride in consistent execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and execute menu items according to established recipes, portion standards, and plating guidelinesSet up, stock, and maintain assigned station before, during, and after serviceMaintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area in compliance with food safety standardsAssist with prep work, including chopping, portioning, labeling, and storing ingredientsCoordinate timing with other cooks to ensure smooth, efficient serviceMonitor food quality throughout service and communicate any issues to the ChefFollow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling of equipment and food productsSupport dishwashing, cleaning, and closing tasks as neededContribute to a positive, respectful, team oriented kitchen cultureSchedule is 2:30 - 3:30 to close depending on prep needsQualificationsPrevious line cook experience preferred, especially in a dinner service environmentStrong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniquesAbility to follow recipes, prep lists, and verbal instructions accuratelyExcellent time management and communication skillsAbility to stand for long periods and lift up to 35 lbsReliable, punctual, and committed to consistent qualityWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly wage up to $27 based on experienceSeason completion bonus $Staff meals during shiftsSupportive, team oriented work environmentFriends and family discount for meals at BLUE5-day work weekSubsidized shared housing may be availablePlease send your resume, cover letter, and references for consideration to: .No phone calls please.
