This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your food industry expertise and showcase your kitchen talents. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met Assist in food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, portioning, and plating dishes Follow food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, temperature control, and hygiene practices Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and ensure timely service Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Skills Move quickly, and listen to instruction Some knowledge of food safety management and adherence to safety standards in production Knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and meal preparation methods Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and effectively Effective communication skills for working seamlessly with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams Familiarity with dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs Positive attitude and work well with others Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
