Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Prep Cook/Baker to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be instrumental in preparing high-quality ingredients, baked goods, and meals that delight our customers. Your energy and culinary skills will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where food safety, consistency, and presentation are top priorities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary expertise while supporting the overall food service operation. Responsibilities Assist in preparing ingredients and components for daily menu items, ensuring adherence to recipes and portion sizes Bake fresh bread, pastries, and other baked goods following established recipes and quality standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, slicers, and knives Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Support meal preparation by assembling dishes according to specifications and dietary requirements Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely service delivery Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and prevent cross-contamination during all stages of food production Requirements Previous experience in a dietary department or food service environment is highly preferred Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient prep Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively Experience with food safety management practices and maintaining hygiene standards in a professional kitchen Ability to communicate clearly with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks efficiently Demonstrated understanding of dietary guidelines, recipe adherence, and meal presentation standards Catering or restaurant experience is a plus but not mandatory; enthusiasm for culinary arts is essential Join us if you're passionate about food preparation, eager to hone your culinary skills, and committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences!
