Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Cook to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will prepare nutritious, appealing meals that meet residents' dietary needs while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Your culinary skills and passion for food service will help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where residents feel cared for and valued. Duties Prepare and cook meals according to dietary guidelines, menus, and recipes while adhering to food safety standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to ensure smooth meal production. Assist in menu planning to accommodate residents' dietary preferences and special needs. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and proper waste disposal. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and caregiving teams to coordinate meal times and special dietary requests. Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and following safety protocols at all times. Support catering functions or special events as needed, ensuring timely delivery of quality food. Requirements Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related culinary role within the food industry or restaurant setting. Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities preferrerred. Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production environments. Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
