Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality meals that meet our established standards for taste, presentation, and safety. Responsibilities Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, adhering to food safety regulations at all times Assist in menu planning by suggesting new dishes and ensuring ingredient availability Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques and following safety standards during production Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food while maintaining consistency and presentation quality Experience Previous experience working in a food industry setting such as restaurants, catering services, or institutional kitchens Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation techniques, including slicing, chopping, and cooking methods Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide responsibilities is a plus Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques for various ingredients Experience in menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation to meet specific dietary needs Understanding of food safety management practices and compliance with safety standards in production environments Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with kitchen staff and other team members Join us to bring your culinary talents to life in a vibrant environment where your skills make a real difference!
Pay:
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 50.0 per week
