Responsibilities Lead food production efforts, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure high-quality meals that meet dietary specifications. Supervise kitchen staff and dietary team members, providing leadership, training, and support to foster a motivated and efficient work environment. Manage inventory control and food ordering processes to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs. Oversee food safety sanitizing procedures, ensuring strict adherence to health regulations and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas. Coordinate catering events, banquet services, and special dining occasions with precision and enthusiasm. Implement food service management protocols, including shift management, scheduling, and quality assurance checks to ensure smooth daily operations. Maintain accurate records related to food handling, inventory management, and compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience in food production, kitchen management, or culinary roles within the food industry; banquet or catering experience is highly desirable. Demonstrated supervising experience with a track record of leading teams effectively in fast-paced environments. Strong background in dietary department operations, including menu planning for special diets and managing food safety sanitizing procedures. Knowledge of restaurant management practices such as inventory control, cost management, and shift scheduling. Familiarity with fine dining or hospitality settings enhances your ability to deliver exceptional service. Excellent leadership skills combined with hands-on cooking expertise; ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently. Certifications related to food safety (such as ServSafe) are preferred; experience in managing large-scale food service operations is advantageous.
