Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will play a critical role in preparing and serving delicious meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.Duties:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety and handling guidelines
- Assist with menu planning and development
- Work closely with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary requests
- Support catering events and functions
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service
- Perform tasks such as food preparation, plating, and serving
- Maintain a high level of quality control in food presentation and quality
- Adapt to a dynamic kitchen environment, handling multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in fine dining or catering
- Proven experience in food preparation and kitchen management
- Familiarity with menu planning and dietary department operations
- Knowledge of food safety and handling regulations
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
