Starting at $17.00 per hour About Uncle Lyle's Uncle Lyle's Tavern is a local gathering place in Dundee serving up great food, cold drinks, and good times. From burgers and wings to house-smoked BBQ and comfort-food favorites, we take pride in serving quality food in a fun, welcoming atmosphere. We're looking for a dependable and hardworking Line Cook to join our kitchen team. Whether you have years of experience or are looking to grow your skills in the kitchen, we're looking for someone who works well with others, takes pride in their food, and can keep up in a fast-paced environment. What You'll Do Prepare and cook menu items according to Uncle Lyle's recipes and standards Work grill, fryer, sauté, and other kitchen stations as assigned Prepare ingredients and complete daily prep work Ensure food is cooked, plated, and presented consistently Keep your station clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures Communicate with other kitchen and front-of-house team members to keep orders moving Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties Help receive, rotate, and properly store food and supplies Maintain quality and accuracy during busy lunch, dinner, and event service Pitch in wherever needed to help the kitchen run smoothly What We're Looking For Previous line cook or kitchen experience is preferred, but we're willing to train the right person Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment Ability to stay organized and manage multiple orders at once Team-oriented attitude and good communication skills Attention to food quality, consistency, and cleanliness Willingness to learn and take direction Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift and carry kitchen supplies Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Why Work at Uncle Lyle's?
