In this energetic role, you will be instrumental in preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment, and supporting the overall flow of food service operations. Your culinary skills and attention to safety standards will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your kitchen expertise while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and other culinary tools Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances in compliance with food safety standards Support meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of quality dishes Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen operations Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold food safety management practices Requirements Previous experience in food service or restaurant kitchens is preferred; dietary aide or dietary department experience is a plus Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Strong knife skills with the ability to perform slicing techniques accurately and safely Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes Ability to operate various kitchen equipment confidently and safely Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Familiarity with catering experience or large-scale food production is advantageous A proactive attitude towards cleaning routines and maintaining a hygienic workspace Culinary experience in the food industry that demonstrates a passion for quality cooking This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to grow their culinary skills while contributing to a vibrant team environment.
