Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for children, in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role is essential for maintaining the efficiency of our kitchen operations and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. A passion for the food industry and a willingness to learn are key attributes for success in this position. Responsibilities Assist chefs and cooks with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients using proper knife skills. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment. Help with inventory management by receiving, storing, and labeling food products appropriately. Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with setup, service, and cleanup. Support the culinary team during busy service periods to ensure timely meal delivery. Follow all kitchen procedures and guidelines to promote a positive work atmosphere. Qualifications Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety standards is a plus. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately. A passion for cooking and the culinary arts is highly desirable.
