Position Summary We are seeking a Cook who values steady routines, teamwork, and taking pride in preparing meals that support the daily wellbeing of our residents. This role is well suited for someone who appreciates clear expectations, consistent schedules, and a kitchen culture built on trust, respect, and follow through.
Schedule Details Shift:
5:30 am to 2:00 pm. Full-time status, working 40 hours a week Every other weekend required Holiday rotation required What This Role Looks Like Day to Day Preparing and cooking meals according to established menus and recipes Ensuring food quality, portioning, and presentation standards are met Maintaining a clean, organized, and food safe work environment Following sanitation, safety, and infection control guidelines Communicating clearly and respectfully with dietary and care team members Assisting with prep, stocking, and general kitchen responsibilities Contributing to a calm, dependable, and team oriented kitchen environment What We Value in Team Members Reliability — showing up prepared and following through on commitments A steady, focused work style, especially during service times Willingness to follow direction and work within established systems Respect for coworkers, residents, and the purpose behind the work Ability to stand for extended periods and perform typical kitchen duties Pay & Work Environment Starting at $17.50/hour, with higher rates considered based on experience Consistent, set shift hours Meal included during your shift Uniform provided, including nonslip Sketchers shoes EAP and Chaplain services provided Leadership that values honesty, follow through, and care for people A workplace where accountability and support go hand in hand Meaningful work that directly supports the daily experience of senior adults If this sounds like you, apply today!
Requirements:
Previous cooking experience or institutional food service experience preferred
