Job Description

This is an hourly part time position. Room for full time hours if willing to work dishwashing part time and cook part time. Responsible for preparing and cooking food according to recipes, customer requests, and restaurant standards. The Cook ensures food is fresh, safe, properly prepared, and attractively presented while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and portion standards. Operate kitchen equipment including ovens, grills, fryers, and steamers. Check food quality, freshness, storage, and proper temperatures. Maintain adequate food supplies and assist with inventory and deliveries. Accommodate customer requests and allergy-related needs. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and work area. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company policies. Complete opening and closing procedures and station checklists. Assist with food preparation, dishwashing, trash removal, and other cleaning as needed. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, waitstaff, and management. Ensure timely and accurate preparation and presentation of meals. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Restaurant or cooking experience preferred, but not required. Food safety/ServSafe certification preferred. Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and as part of a team. Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and work around heat and kitchen equipment. Dependable, professional, detail-oriented, and committed to quality. Must comply with company policies, scheduling, dress code, attendance, and grooming standards.
