Full Job Description Job Summary:
The line cook's primary job function is to prepare meals according to menu specifications. The line cook will be responsible for ensuring that all food is prepared in a timely and consistent manner to meet guest expectations.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepares and cooks meals according to menu specifications and guest requests.
  • Ensures that all food is prepared in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Monitors and maintains kitchen equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborates with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
  • Keeps kitchen and line clean.
  • Ensures proper portioning.
  • Assists in prep when not busy.
  • Sets up, maintains, restocks, cleans, and organizes work area.
  • Follows health, sanitation, cleanliness, and organization standards.
  • Is serve safe certified.
  • Attention to details, and proper plating presentation.
  • Safely operates all equipment.
  • Practices proper and safe food handling, storage, receiving, and rotating stock.
  • Meets all restaurant standards for safety and food handling.
  • Practices teamwork by helping co-workers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
  • Adheres to company standards, including personal hygiene and appearance.
  • Adheres to health department codes regarding food sanitation and handling.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and industry trends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions.
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
Pay:
$17.00 - $23.00 per hour
