Tigg's Canteen Services is currently hiring a Permanent Full-Time Lead Cook for the Hillsdale County Jail in Hillsdale, Michigan. As a Lead Cook, you will be an important part of the daily kitchen operation. You will help lead and instruct others while assisting with the preparation and service of meals in a professional and organized environment. Lead Cook Responsibilities In this position, you will assist with the daily operation of the kitchen and help ensure meals are prepared according to company standards.
Responsibilities may include:
Leading and instructing inmates within the kitchen . Assisting with food preparation, cooking, and baking. Reading and following company recipes and procedures. Helping with meal preparation and kitchen clean-up. Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient work area. Working successfully within a structured correctional facility environment. What We're Looking For Successful candidates should have: A positive, dependable, and professional attitude. The ability to work well in a structured correctional environment. The ability to read and follow company recipes. The ability to lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparation. The ability to lift up to 50 pounds . Requirements Applicants must meet the following requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Availability to work varying days and hours between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM . Ability to receive clearance approval to enter the facility.
