Job Description

Experienced Line Cook Please read the experience requirements before applying. We are seeking an experienced Line Cook for our high-volume, fast-paced, full-service restaurant kitchen . Applicants must have at least two years of restaurant line experience . At this time, we are not interviewing entry-level applicants or candidates whose cooking experience is limited to fast-food or quick-service restaurants . Required Experience and Skills At least two years of experience in a high-volume, full-service kitchen Experience working grill, sauté, fry and/or broiler stations Ability to manage multiple tickets and remain composed during peak service Knowledge of cooking proteins to temperature and proper food-safety practices Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with the kitchen team Reliable, organized and committed to quality and consistency Responsibilities Prepare meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other menu items using grills, broilers, fryers, sauté burners, flat tops and ovens Follow recipes, portions, cooking methods and plating standards precisely Maintain responsibility for the quality, timing and presentation of food leaving your station Set up, stock and maintain appropriate product levels throughout service Follow proper food handling, labeling, storage and FIFO rotation procedures Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation using clean-as-you-go practices Communicate product shortages or equipment problems immediately Assist with prep, opening and closing duties, checklists and general kitchen cleanup Support other kitchen team members as needed Position Requirements Ability to work efficiently in a hot, high-paced environment Strong multitasking, organization and communication skills Ability to follow written and verbal instructions Professional hygiene and appearance Clean uniform, required head covering and non-slip shoes Thermometer and marker required and provided Availability during our busiest business days and hours
