Job Responsibilities & Work Environment This job requires extensive standing and walking, working up to 8 hours. Must be able to communicate clearly. Exposure to heat, steam, smoke, & cold. Exposure to dish and cleaning chemicals. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to follow food safety and sanitation standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Set up the kitchen properly and on time daily. Creating daily specials. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Experience in food preparation within a restaurant or catering environment is preferred. Strong time management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with kitchen staff and serving staff. Must be able to control and utilize fingers to write, slice, chop, and operate equipment. A passion for cooking and providing high-quality food service to guests. Must be able to work irregular hours under heavy pressure & stress during busy times.
