DESCRIPTION
Help instruct kitchen helpers in the safe and proper use of all kitchen equipment. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all food service areas. Assisting the kitchen manager by checking in daily deliveries, signing invoices after verification of each order, maintaining inventory on hand and securing the locked storage areas before leaving. Determine the quantities of food to be prepared daily. Study the weekly menu items along with past production records to help establish food quantities needed. Prepares food according to the planned menu, using standardized recipes, always checking for the best quality and appearance of the food before serving or shipping. Report any problem or accident to the principal and/or kitchen manager immediately. Ability to supervise kitchen personnel in the absence of the kitchen manager. Participates in the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment, washing and sanitation of pans and utensils. May be responsible for serving food during the lunch period, operating the cash register or other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager and/or food service supervisor.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Prefer High School diploma or (GED) Three years of experience as kitchen helper or other food preparation. Prefer experience and knowledge with computers and software programs
SALARY / SCHEDULE
$17.00 Per Hour Monday
