• Preparing and cooking meals
• Must be able to cook from scratch
• Follow recipes and portion control guidelines
• Help with menu planning and creating new dishes
• Ensure food quality and presentation meets standards
• Maintain clean & sanitary conditions in the kitchen and dining room areas
• Maintain proper/hygienic food handling techniques and the overall sanitation requirements of a food service area and the personnel.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations
• Responsible for walking through the dining room during meals communicating with residents regarding satisfaction.
• Responsible for setting up food supplies for special events in coordination with the building Executive Director and Life Enrichment Director
• Maintain regulatory compliance where applicable ```Experience```
• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting preferred
• Knowledge of food handling and safety regulations
• Familiarity with menu planning and catering practices
• Ability to use kitchen equipment, including knives, safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
