$16.00-$18.00 per hour (based on experience) About Tavern 109 At Tavern 109, we believe great food starts with a great team. We're looking for a dependable, motivated Line Cook / Prep Cook who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen. This position is a combination of prep cook and line cook responsibilities. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys preparing high-quality food, works efficiently under pressure, and understands that excellent service begins with proper preparation. What You'll Do

•Prepare and cook menu items according to Tavern 109 recipes and quality standards. Complete daily prep work, including chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, portioning ingredients, and stocking stations. Set up and break down kitchen stations before and after each shift. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation throughout the shift. Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and plated consistently and accurately. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Properly label, date, rotate, and store food using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices. Monitor product quality and communicate inventory or equipment concerns to kitchen leadership. Assist with receiving deliveries, organizing inventory, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure timely ticket completion during busy service periods. Support other kitchen team members as needed to maintain smooth operations. What We're Looking For

•Previous line cook, prep cook, or restaurant kitchen experience preferred (but we're willing to train the right person). Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude. Ability to follow recipes, procedures, and instructions consistently. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 1What We Offer
