Experienced Line Cook - Pasta & Sauté Volare | Wixom, MI Volare is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-quality restaurant environment and can confidently handle our pasta and sauté stations during busy dinner service. This is not an entry-level position. Prior line cook experience is required. Responsibilities Work the pasta and sauté stations efficiently during service Prepare pasta dishes, sauces, proteins, vegetables, and other menu items to Volare's standards Properly execute sauté techniques, sauce preparation, finishing, and plating Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, portioning, and quality Set up and stock your station before service and maintain proper pars throughout the shift Handle multiple tickets and dishes simultaneously while maintaining quality Follow recipes, preparation procedures, and plating standards Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Properly rotate, label, date, and store food Follow all food safety and sanitation requirements Communicate effectively with chefs, expo, and other members of the kitchen team Assist with prep and other stations when needed Qualifications Previous professional line cook experience required Strong experience with sauté cooking and pasta preparation Ability to work efficiently during high-volume dinner service Strong knife skills and understanding of proper food handling Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistency Dependable, punctual, organized, and team-oriented Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment Grill and/or broiler experience is a strong plus Italian or fine-dining restaurant experience is preferred, but not required What We're Looking For We want a cook who takes pride in their station and understands that consistency and execution matter on every plate.
