This is a part-time position and the shift hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10:00am - 3:00pm along with possible coverage for other days and catering events, as needed. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the kitchen with meal preparation and ensuring that all food handling meets safety standards. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about the food industry and enjoy working in a team-based environment. Duties Inventory and ordering of food. Preparation of ingredients for various dishes, ensuring quality and consistency. Follow recipes and portion controls to prepare meals according to menu specifications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food storage practices. Adhere to food safety regulations and standards to ensure a safe dining experience for guests. Collaborate with cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service. Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements. Support catering events by preparing large quantities of food as needed. Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred. Must have a ServSafe Certificate with knowledge of food handling, food safety, and sanitation practices is essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with General Manager and kitchen staff. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques and menu planning is a plus. A passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow within the culinary field.
