Job Description

It all started with a girl and a dream! The goal was to provide a nice place where guests could enjoy a premium glass of wine and relax with friends. Simple items like Napa style charcuterie and a few sandwiches to accompany the wine would be good enough. Little did we know! Today, our main focus is our guest experience. We now have a new American cuisine style menu that pays homage to the Ozarks with artisan pizza, fresh made salads, pastas, soups and sandwiches for lunch along with steaks, smoked meats, and fresh seafood options for dinner. Then there are the mouth watering fresh made in-house desserts that change seasonally. We also offer a walk-in humidor with the only full service cigar lounge in SW Missouri along with a full bar to accommodate even the pickiest bourbon connoisseur. The Vineyard has seen much growth over the last seven years and we are expanding our team. We want fun, energetic team members that are not afraid of working hard and have a passion for taking care of our guests. With a Brand new Chef we are continuing to develop, seek, and redefine upscale dining in the Ozarks We are seeking a Kitchen Team Member to join our team! You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time preparing delicious menu items for our guests!
Responsibilities:
Practice and maintain health and safety standards Prepare and execute menu items for guests according to specifications provided by Chef Coordinate food and kitchenware orders Check freshness and quality of ingredients Assist in the development of menu items Standardize recipes and plate presentations Work with management to create a memorable experience for guests Filling out logs provided (time/temperature, food waste, etc)
Qualifications:
Previous experience in culinary arts, or cooking preferred but not required (more than willing to work with a passionate individual with drive) Passion for food, cooking techniques, learning and developing your craft Strong leadership qualities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with the ability to thrive during the down times as well. Strong communication skills
Pay, Benefits, Perks:
Competitive wage depending on experience Flexible Work Schedule (we are open Tuesday - Saturday, with an occasional Monday) Free Meals Discounts on wine and other products
