Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fry Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in food handling and safety protocols. This role involves preparing fried dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high-quality food service for our customers. Candidates with a background in the food industry, including restaurant or other fast kitchens, are encouraged to apply. The Fry Cook will play a vital role in maintaining the kitchen's efficiency and adhering to all safety standards. Duties Prepare and cook fried foods according to established recipes and menu specifications Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of the fry station and kitchen area Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times Monitor inventory levels of frying supplies and communicate needs for restocking Adhere to dietary department requirements when preparing meals for specific dietary needs or restrictions Participate in menu planning and suggest improvements based on customer feedback or operational needs Experience Prior experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred, especially within a restaurant or fine dining setting Knowledge of culinary techniques, including knife skills and meal preparation methods Experience with food safety standards and proper handling of ingredients Strong understanding of kitchen operations, including food presentation and quality control
