Job Description

Our Prep Cook / Steward role is a hands-on kitchen support position focused on both food preparation and dishwashing duties. Team members in this role help keep the kitchen running smoothly by assisting with prep tasks, maintaining cleanliness and organization, washing dishes and cookware, and supporting the culinary team throughout service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and being an important part of the team behind the scenes. Block 3's

Prep Cook, responsible for chopping, portioning, stocks, batching, etc. Prep Station Experience, or willingness to learn preparation standards Basic Cooking Knowledge Basic Knife Skills Respectful and works well with other kitchen staff
Job Duties and Expectations:
Arrive and leave on time, and clock in/out accordingly Dress appropriately every day for work. Say hello to every member of the team on arrival and goodbye on departure Prep and execute stations according to Chef's/Sous Chef's direction. Be aware of inventory of both raw product and prepped items. Communicate clearly with Chefs about ordering, running low on items, 86's. Properly label all mise en place with date and item name. Follow instructions from supervisor Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, walk-in, prep areas and common areas. Be aware of DOH protocol. Be willing to help out with any when needed with any task. Performs a variety of entry-level dishwashing tasks. Routinely cleans, washes and stores food and beverage service items, equipment, and the kitchen area. Assist with other kitchen duties as assigned. Work in designated station set by the manager. Keeps all kitchen areas, equipment, machines, etc. clean, sanitized and organized during individual shift. Assist in daily cleaning and sanitation duties. Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen and dining room materials. Follow all machine cleaning procedures. Assist all cooks in daily preparation of menu items. Report to work at designated time in clean, neat and approved uniform. Complies with all health and safety codes in handling and storage of all food products and kitchen equipment. Will work with various soaps and cleaning chemicals. Gloves, aprons and safety materials are provided.
