Full Job Description Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cook/prep cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, food, and beverages in accordance with our menu and standards. Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients, food, and beverages for service.
• Assist with food preparation, including chopping, dicing, and sautéing.
• Follow menu planning and ensure that all food items meet the quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
• Ensure food safety and handling practices are followed at all times.
• Provide support to the team as needed.
• Serve the residents their food
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
• Help with menu planning and special requests.
• Maintain a positive and respectful attitude in the kitchen and with guests.

Qualifications:

• Experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant or nursing facility setting.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and organized kitchen space.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and presentation.
• Ability to assist with food preparation and catering events as needed.
• Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special requests.
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
• A positive and respectful attitude, with a focus on teamwork and customer service.

Skills:

• Experience as a dietary aide or in a similar role.
• Experience in cooking and food preparation.
• Knowledge of food handling and safety practices.
• Ability to help with food preparation and cooking.
• Experience in a restaurant or food industry setting.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
• Ability to work in a kitchen environment.
• Experience with menu planning and special requests.
