About The Role As a Line Cook in our Kitchen department, you will play a key role in delivering a consistently excellent dining experience. This hourly, full-time position is hands-on and fast-paced, requiring strong attention to detail, a commitment to food safety, and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods. You will work closely with the kitchen team to prepare and plate dishes according to our recipes and standards, maintain a clean and organized workstation, and support overall kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft, enjoys working on a team, and is eager to grow their culinary skills in a professional environment. What You'll Do Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to standardized recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines Set up, stock, and break down your station before, during, and after service, ensuring all tools and ingredients are ready and organized Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and consistency throughout each shift Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures, including proper food storage, labeling, and temperature control Collaborate with chefs, sous chefs, and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate service Monitor inventory at your station and communicate low stock or equipment issues to the kitchen leadership team Assist with prep work such as chopping, marinating, sauce preparation, and batch cooking as needed Operate kitchen equipment safely and correctly, and report any malfunctions or safety concerns immediately Adhere to all company policies, health codes, and safety regulations, including proper use of knives and protective equipment Support a clean and orderly kitchen environment by regularly cleaning surfaces, equipment, and utensils during and after service Participate in menu tastings, training sessions, and new recipe rollouts to stay current on offerings and standards Work efficiently during peak service periods while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor Qualifications Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or similar role in a professional kitchen environment Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen terminology Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., ServSafe or similar certification is a plus) Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and plating specifications accurately and consistently Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen with tight timelines Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills in a collaborative environment Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive motions safely Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Attention to detail, reliability, and a strong sense of ownership over your station and work Legal authorization to work in the country of employment and ability to communicate effectively in English The pay range for this role is: 16 - 16 USD per hour(Hilton Garden Inn Billings)
