Overview:
Hourly pay rate: $22.00- $24.
Location:
77 Trails End Road Eureka, Montana 59917 Make a Difference Through Food, Care, and Community. We are seeking a Cook who is passionate not only about food, but also about creating a warm, nourishing environment where students feel cared for, supported, and at home. At Chrysalis , a therapeutic boarding school for adolescent girls, we believe healing happens in everyday moments- including around the table.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve nutritious, balanced, and appealing meals for students and staff Follow established menus while contributing creative, healthy ideas Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special needs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards Support a positive, team-oriented environment in collaboration with clinical and residential staff Occasionally involve students in appropriate kitchen or meal prep activities to build life skillsQualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age or older Must hold a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency Montana Food Handler's certification Current First Aid and CPR certification Must possess a valid State of Montana driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and be able to drive for work-related purposes Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Experience preparing healthy meals and accommodating dietary restrictions Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills Positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be physically capable of performing essential job functions, including crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques. Training will be provided.Preferred Qualifications:
1+ year experience in a residential or institutional setting Experience cooking for groups of 40+ people Familiarity with youth care environmentsBenefits:
