Our neighborhood restaurant is looking for experienced line cooks to prepare food to specifications and to share the role of expediter for all dinner service. Our kitchen serves lunch and dinner 7 days/week and caters special events. Please note we do not offer housing, work visas, or transportation. Responsibilities Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies. Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, proteins, or preparing sauces). Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Clean up station and take care of leftover food. Ensure that high quality food comes out simultaneously in a timely fashion. Expedite the service from kitchen to customer without sacrificing quality or appearance. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers Cook for events as needed - tip outs and added compensation available Experience Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line cook, prep cook, and/or expediter. Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures - We will train you with our menu of locally inspired dishes. Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Familiar with industry's best practices. Passion for learning to create a superior dining experience.
