Job Description

Responsibilities Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and standards Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and assembling dishes Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety standards Support the cooking team during meal service by ensuring timely preparation of ingredients Follow recipe adherence to ensure consistency and quality of dishes Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and meet service deadlines Qualifications Previous experience in a dietary department or dietary aide role is preferred but not required Familiarity with prepping pasta, yams, various vegetables, chicken, seafood and more. Knowledge of food safety management and handling procedures Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Strong knife skills with slicing techniques for efficient ingredient prep Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is a plus Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Demonstrated understanding of safety standards in food production and meal preparation
Pay:
$15.00 - $16.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 40.0 per week
