The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. A background in fine dining or catering is preferred, as we strive to provide an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items according to established recipes and standards Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks, including chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety guidelines Assist in plating dishes efficiently while maintaining presentation quality Help with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying supervisors of supplies needed Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with cooks, servers, and management Requirements Previous experience in role in sit down dining restaurant is preferred ; enthusiasm for learning is key! Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, and food handling in a restaurant or food service setting is highly valued Strong knife skills and familiarity with meal preparation techniques are essential for efficiency and safety Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Basic understanding of menu planning, catering, and serving processes is a plus Needs to be
