Summary:
The Cook prepares hot foods for patients, residents, cafeteria visitors, and Adult Day Health participants utilizing HACCP standards, standardized recipes, and appropriate dietary restrictions and following regulatory agency standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepares all hot and cold food for all service areas according to appropriate menus using standardized, approved recipes.
  • Packages and stores prepared meals and ingredients according to foodservice safety standards.
  • Organizes, cleans and sanitizes work area for effective, safe use.
  • Produces food with a minimum of waste of resources, including time or ingredients.
Other information:
Qualifications Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two (2) years of experience working in a commercial food preparation setting Preferred
  • Experience working in a a cafeteria or other institutional foodservice setting
