Who We Are - The Village Diner has been a staple in the West Hillsborough community since the 1970s, with a change of ownership in 2017. We have put a fresh twist on breakfast, fresh sandwiches, organic salads, and tasty desserts. We are a small, tight-knit family that strives to stand out within our local community, and we are dedicated to quality customer service and excellent food. Currently, we are looking for morning cooks with weekend availability to join our team, both part-time (10-29 hrs/week) and full-time (30+ hours/week) for our breakfast and lunch service .

Job Summary - Set up and prep workstations prior to service with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.) Cook food in various appliances or grillers Ensure great presentation of all dishes before they are served Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Check quality of ingredients Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages Complete closing duties at the end of shift, including but not limited to: prepping food for overnight storage, cleaning work station, assisting with dishes, etc. Additional duties as needed and assigned Job Requirements - Experience is required . We are looking for candidates that have a positive attitude, adaptability, and are creative within the culinary art.
