Duties Prepare ingredients according to standardized recipes, including slicing, dicing, and portioning with precision using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Assist in assembling dishes and meal components for service, ensuring adherence to recipe specifications and presentation standards Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment by following strict cleaning protocols and safety standards in production Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, slicers, and other appliances safely and efficiently Support the culinary team with food handling tasks that meet food safety management guidelines and sanitation regulations Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredients in advance for upcoming meals or catering events Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation processes and ensure timely service Skills Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards within restaurant or food industry settings Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards in production, and proper use of kitchen equipment Excellent knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient portioning Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency across meal preparations Experience with meal prep for catering or large-scale food service operations is a plus Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff and ensure smooth workflow Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a difference!
