Advance Preschool is looking for a dependable, caring, and organized Facility Cook to join our team! We are seeking someone who enjoys working in a childcare environment and takes pride in preparing safe, nutritious, and child-friendly meals and snacks for young children. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen while following all childcare, food safety, sanitation, and facility requirements. Position Duties Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks for children enrolled in our daycare and NC Pre-K programs. Follow established menus, portion sizes, and meal schedules. Prepare meals that are appropriate for young children. Accommodate documented food allergies and dietary restrictions according to facility procedures. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen and food preparation area. Properly clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, counters, appliances, and food preparation areas. Safely store, label, and handle food according to food safety guidelines. Monitor food supplies and notify administration when food or kitchen supplies need to be reordered. Sometimes going out to restock food supplies if necessary. Follow childcare center policies and applicable state and local food safety requirements. Help maintain a safe kitchen environment for staff. Work cooperatively with teachers, administration, and other facility staff. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working around children, families, and staff. Perform other kitchen or meal-related duties as assigned by administration. Requirements Previous experience preparing meals for children, schools, daycare centers, restaurants, or similar settings is preferred. Knowledge of basic food preparation, sanitation, and safe food-handling practices. Ability to follow menus, recipes, instructions, and dietary requirements. Reliable attendance and punctuality
