In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of grilled dishes with precision and creativity. • Duties Prepare and cook grilled items such as steaks, burgers, seafood, and vegetables according to established recipes and specifications Operate kitchen equipment including grills, fryers, ovens, and food preparation tools safely and efficiently Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment Assist in menu planning by suggesting new grilling techniques or dish variations to enhance the menu offerings Ensure food handling practices meet all safety standards, including proper storage, temperature control, and portioning Support food production during peak hours by maintaining high-volume output without compromising quality Adhere strictly to recipe guidelines and presentation standards to ensure consistency across all dishes Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments, particularly with grilling or food preparation roles Strong knife skills and proficiency in cooking techniques such as braising, poaching, and food handling Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures in commercial kitchens Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced setting Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on high-volume production experience in the food industry Must have 2+ years grilling experience.
