Kitchen Manager or Assigned Supervisor Position Overview:
The Kitchen Staff is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals in the full commercial kitchen at the ICGH inpatient facility. This position ensures that all food is prepared safely, served promptly, and meets dietary standards. Adherence to health, safety, and sanitation protocols is critical.Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation and Cooking Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking meals according to menu plans and dietary guidelines. Follow recipes and portion control standards to ensure consistency and waste reduction. Food Service Plate and serve meals to patients, staff, and visitors in a timely and professional manner. Ensure meals are served at appropriate temperatures and in adherence to dietary restrictions. Sanitation and Cleanliness Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces after each use. Follow strict hygiene protocols, including proper handwashing and the use of protective gear. Dispose of waste and maintain a clean kitchen environment, including floors, storage areas, and dishwashing stations. Inventory Management Assist in stocking and organizing pantry and refrigerator items. Monitor inventory levels and inform the Kitchen Manager of supply needs. Compliance and Safety Adhere to all local and state health codes, as well as ICGH policies. Participate in regular safety training and adhere to kitchen safety protocols, including the proper use of equipment. Report accidents, injuries, or safety hazards to the Kitchen Manager immediately.Qualifications and Requirements:
Mandatory Requirements Criminal background check required. Compliance with pre-employment and ongoing drug testing policies. Experience and Skills Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environment is preferred. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices (ServSafe certification is a plus). Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Capacity to stand, bend, and work in a hot kitchen environment for extended periods.Job Type:
