Part-Time Cook Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation | Wilkesboro, NC Ridge Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable and experienced Cook to join our dietary team on a part-time basis. The Cook plays an important role in creating a positive dining experience for our residents by preparing nutritious, appealing meals while following dietary requirements, food safety standards, and sanitation guidelines. What You'll Do Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and resident dietary requirements Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and special diet instructions accurately Ensure meals are prepared and served in a timely manner Follow proper food handling, storage, preparation, and temperature-control procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area Follow applicable state and facility dietary, health, and safety regulations Work closely with the dietary and nursing teams to meet residents' needs Provide friendly, respectful, and helpful service to residents and coworkers Help maintain a safe and welcoming dining environment What We're Looking For Previous cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare, senior living, or institutional setting Current ServSafe or food safety certification preferred/required as applicable Must be at least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED preferred Knowledge of proper food safety, sanitation, and storage practices Ability to follow menus, recipes, and special dietary instructions Dependable, organized, and able to work well as part of a team Ability to work in a resident-centered environment while maintaining safety and professionalism Why Join Ridge Valley?
