Job Description
Overview The Line Cook is responsible for preparing food orders in a speedy and accurate manner as requested by customers. Bosselman offers on-demand pay (access to earned but not yet paid wages) through: Responsibilities Reads orders off of Kitchen Display System monitors Reads recipes and produces a finished product according to the procedures and plate presentations. Cooks food according to guests' specifications. Places finished products on the line cook shelf in an organized manner. Produces food within ticket time requirement. Places products in the hot wells and reheats various food products and places on the line as needed. Ensures guests receive safe food products of the highest quality, freshness, and consistency. Stores all food products in specific sized pans. Covers, dates and places in appropriate cooler. Cleans as you go and sanitize the cook line as well as equipment, walls, floors, and hoods. Promotes team work by assisting in cleaning areas of the kitchen, sweeping and mopping, cleaning the coolers, organizing dry storage, etc. Assists management team in controlling food cost. Observes the basic rules of kitchen safety, sanitation and back door safety. Uses First In First Out (FIFO) rule to ensure proper rotation. Utilizes various cleaning chemicals in accordance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). Completes all daily, opening and closing side work. Get checked out by management before the end of the shift. Provides friendly and competent customer service. Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
