We are currently hiring a full-time cook.
Evening Shift Hours:
6:30am-2:00pm Every other weekend and Holiday required. Experience required.Benefits include:

Cook ___________________________________________________________________ Principal duties and responsibilities: In accordance with Sysco provided menus and recipes, prepares meals for residents and staff. Plates and may serve food to residents and staff. Records temperatures for all food served. Records/is responsible for recording temperatures of kitchen equipment. Cleans counters, steam tables, dish warmer, etc. and properly stores leftovers after serving. Cleans stove, work area, pots, pans, etc. Cleans and puts away dishes. Performs cleaning duties according to schedule. Records cleaning duty accomplished. Prepares food for special events such as birthday parties, resident parties, holidays, etc. ___________________________________________________________________ Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities: Ability to read in order to understand menus and ability to write in order to prepare orders for groceries and related supplies as typically acquired through completion of high school education. Knowledge of how to properly handle and prepare food, use kitchen appliances, sanitation techniques, etc., as typically acquired through one year of related work experience. Analytic skills necessary to determine appropriate amounts of food to prepare for meals, how to modify recipes, how to make substitutions, etc. Interpersonal skills necessary to respond to resident questions about food, discuss menus with supervisor, ask maintenance for assistance, etc. Attention to detail for up to 5% of work time when preparing grocery and related supply order, reading menus, etc. Ability to stand and walk for up to 95% of work time when preparing meals, cleaning dishes, disposing of trash, etc. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds for up to 10% of work time when storing groceries and related supplies, preparing food trays, etc.Working conditions:
Exposure to extremes in temperature for up to 15% of work time when unloading and storing groceries and related supplies. No exposure to excessive noise or dust. Exposure to steam, hot surfaces, hot food and sharp objects for up to 80% of work time when preparing meals, preparing residents food trays, etc.___________________________________________________________________ Reporting relationships:
