Job Description

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Full-time Prep Cook responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of daily meals as well as special events and high-end catering, at a coeducational, independent preparatory boarding school for grades 9-12 on 2,500 beautiful acres in Andover, New Hampshire Full-time (part-time opportunities are available) $19-$21
Per Hour Schedule:
Various Schedules $250.00 Sign-On Bonus (payable after 90 days) What the Prep Cook will do: Perform routine kitchen tasks and follow the rep list created to plan duties Label and stock all ingredients on shelves for organization and easy access Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and doing other meal prep Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees Take and record temperatures, following all required food handling and sanitation standards to ensure food safety Assist with the organization and sanitation of coolers, freezers, and storerooms: all items covered, labeled, and dated Keep work areas organized, cleaning and sanitizing work areas and equipment Attend production meetings daily, offering input concerning leftover utilization, efficiency, product quality, etc. Perform all duties in accordance with food safety and sanitation best practices Other duties, as assigned What the Prep Cook will need: High School diploma or equivalent 2-3 years of prior food preparatory experience preferred ServSafe® Certification, principles of food production techniques Ability to measure products and convert units of measure Awareness of commercial kitchen equipment and how to perform routine maintenance and cleaning What the Prep Cook will get: Competitive Pay, Uniforms, Meals, Training and Mentorship, and Benefits such as Health, Vision, Dental, and more!
